EE-Ottoman-roundedAnna Obermayer grew up in Binghamton New York and attended Earlham College where she majored in history and minored in religious studies. During her time at Earlham College Anna was one of the founders of the Earlham College History Journal and served on its first editorial board. After graduating from Earlham College Anna worked for several years in the Ithaca New York area in youth community building and advocacy and received a certificate in paralegal studies. Anna graduated from Stony Brook University in 2014 with a MA in United States History specializing in the history of 19th century New York City’s Chinatown, race history and the queer history of New York City. In 2015 Anna began working towards her MS in Library and Information Science at Syracuse University with a concentration in Cultural Heritage Preservation. She has worked at Syracuse University Archives, as part of the Syracuse University Book Preservation Unit, and at SUNY ESF’s College Archives and Special Collections.
